David Lolo St.Paul Kiffmeyer was born February 8, 2002, at 3:36 am, in San Francisco, to Greta Snider and John M. Kiffmeyer.
Lolo is named after some very special people. David for Greta's dad, David M. Snider, who was a sweet, intelligent, creative, and supportive father, and consummate craftsman of boats and planes...

and Lolo St.Paul for John's great, great, great, great grandfather, Jean-Baptiste Lolo. (Turns out "Lolo St. Paul" wasn't his real name - but that's what he called himself, punk-rock style...) Lolo was an Iroquois man, who migrated west through Canada in the 1800's working for the Hudson Bay Company, as a salesman, trader, and translater of native languages. His biography is outlined on the British Columbia historical archives website.
