On our trip to Wisconsin, we had
to go to see the Johnson Wax Building. Of course, it's not open to the
public except for very specific times, so we saw it from a distance.

| We saw this saucer-shaped structure ... What could it be? I don't remember. |

| We stayed with Scott, who is the finest person in the world. We all wanted to move in with him after our visit. What a nice person! I showed movies at his bar, and he generally showed us all the cool things in the region. It was great to meet him after a ten or so years correspondence based on fanzines. | ![]() |
| Jennifer Montgomery lives in Wisconsin, too. I hadn't seen her since about 1992 in New York. I think we had lunch together at Mogador. She was at Astria Suparak's touring film program there, at Stephanie Barber's. | ![]() |

Speaking of Stephanie; she operates a really cool film screening venue out of her home with a bunch of other artists/filmmakers. I think that the situation was in some landlord-related jeopardy, so I don't know if it is still happening. Stephanie makes beautiful and sort of acerbic short movies, and sews, and does a thousand other groovy things. |

| Well, it wouldn't have been the allstar weekend without running into Bill Basquin. I didn't know Bill was from the region, until John told me so. Everyone in town knows Bill (just like here in SF!) | ![]() |
